The Milwaukee Brewers have called up top prospect Keston Hiura from Triple-A San Antonio, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.

As a corresponding move, third baseman Travis Shaw has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a right wrist strain. Shaw struggled mightily prior to being placed on the IL, hitting .163 in 40 games.

In 37 games in the minors so far this season, Hiura was tearing up Triple-A by hitting .333 with 11 homers and 26 RBI. He makes his debut as a consensus top-20 from around baseball.

Meanwhile, the club also announced that utilityman Cory Spangenberg has been designated for assignment.

The Brewers continue their series against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizen's Bank Park Tuesday night.
