With the MLB Off-Season underway, many teams are looking to upgrade, find replacements, and make major renovations to their clubs. TSN.ca looks at the day's hottest off-season rumors and speculations.

Dexter's Lab

According to Fox Sports Jon Morosi, the Toronto Blue Jays are pursing Houston Astros outfielder Dexter Fowler. Fowler, a 28-year-old switch hitter, hit .276 with eight homers and 35 runs batted in over 116 games last season, his seventh in the Majors. Toronto, who has also expressed interest in Nick Markakis, might need to add an outfielder or two as both Colby Rasmus and Melky Cabrera are free-agents.

Trade in the Works?

According to Morosi, a high value trade between the Colorado Rockies and Seattle Mariners could very well happen next week at the MLB Winter Meetings. Morosi says the two sides have already had "preliminary trade talks" and the "natural fit" between the rosters could get further trade negotiations moving forward. The Rockies are deep in the outfield position and the Mariners might be interested in adding to that part of the field even after signing slugger Nelson Cruz, according to Morosi. Colorado would also like to add a starting pitcher or two and Seattle would be able to provide that request. Morosi also says a trade involving Troy Tulowitzki or Carlos Gonzalez is not out of the question.

Closing In

The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are the two teams closing in a multi-year deal with free-agent relief pitcher Andrew Miller, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. The deal is reportedly close to $40 million over four years. Heyman also says the Boston Red Sox are out of running at this point and the deal might be completed within the next two days.
