With the MLB Off-Season underway, many teams are looking to upgrade, find replacements, and make major renovations to their clubs. TSN.ca looks at the day's hottest off-season rumors and speculations.

Melk No Longer in Bags?

The Melky Cabrera era in Toronto may indeed be over, as it seems the left fielder’s preference may be to sign with another team.

According to ESPN’s Buster Olney, Cabrera is no longer keen on playing his home games on the artificial turf at Rogers Centre.

After an injury-plagued 2013 season, the 30-year old enjoyed a 2014 season where he hit 16 homers, knocked in 73 while batting .301 in 139 games.

Should Cabrera move on and the Jays not sign or trade for another outfielder, the team will likely platoon Andy Dirks and Kevin Pillar in left field to start the season.

Trumbo Flying Away?

With the Arizona Diamondbacks snagging Cuban outfielder Yasmany Tomas to a six-year, $68.5 million contract, the team may look to ship out another slugging outfielder to help bolster their lineup.

Mark Trumbo may be dealt, reports ESPN’s David Schoenfield, and there are plenty of teams who could be interested including the Miami Marlins, Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Rays and Texas Rangers.

Arizona will be looking for young pitching prospects or major-league ready arms in any deal for Trumbo, who can also play first base.

The 28-year old only played 88 games last season hitting .235 with 14 dingers.

Master of the Central?

Starter Justin Masterson may be looking to return to the American League in the familiar Central Division, where he played for the Cleveland Indians from 2009-2014.

The right hander has received interest from four AL Central teams, writes Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer - the Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins, while the Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox have also expressed interest.

Masterson had a record of 7-9 last season and a 5.88 earned run average with the Indians and the St. Louis Cardinals.
