It appears injury scares for Tampa Bay Lightning centre Anthony Cirelli and Los Angeles Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper on Tuesday will not affect their availability for Team Canada at next month’s Olympics.
TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reports Cirelli is expected back for Friday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks after exiting Tuesday’s win over the San Jose Sharks with an undisclosed injury.
LeBrun adds that Kuemper is considered day-to-day, but more tests will be done to determine the extent of his injury after exiting his team’s win over the New York Rangers.

Kuemper left Tuesday’s game in the first period after a collision with Johnny Brodzinski of the Rangers in the crease.
“I don’t have too much to share,” Kings head coach Jim Hiller said postgame. “We’ll probably know a little bit more tomorrow.”
Kuemper, 35, has a 12-9-9 record with a .904 save percentage and a 2.52 goals-against average in 32 games this season.
Cirelli, 28, has 13 goals and 30 points in 44 games this season.
