Denver, CO - Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari has been diagnosed with a meniscus tear in his right knee and is out indefinitely.

The news was unexpected, as Gallinari scored 19 points and helped lead the Nuggets to a win over the Pacers on Saturday. He had been limited this season with knee soreness.

Gallinari is expected to undergo surgery.

The sixth-year forward is averaging 7.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 18.8 minutes per game, the lowest totals since his rookie year.
