PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Sonny Milano scored the eventual winner on a power play in the second period and assisted on two other goals to lead the Plymouth Whalers to a 4-3 win over the Windsor Spitfires in Ontario Hockey League action on Wednesday.

Matt Mistele and Mathew Campagna had a goal and an assist apiece for the Whalers (10-12-2), while Connor Sills rounded out the Plymouth offence.

Trevor Murphy, Markus Soberg and Slater Doggett replied for the Spitfires (7-15-1), who lost their fifth straight game despite outshooting the Whalers 47-25.

Plymouth goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic made 44 saves for the victory.

Brendan Johnston started in net for Windsor, giving up three goals on 13 shots through the first 20 minutes of action. Alex Fotinos stopped 11-of-12 shots the rest of the way.

The Whalers took advantage on 3-of-5 power-play opportunities while the Spitfires failed to score on seven chances with the man advantage.

STING 3 SPIRIT 1

SAGINAW, Mich. — Taylor Dupuis made 32 saves and Hayden Hodgson had a goal and an assist as Sarnia toppled the Spirit.

Noah Bushnell, on a power play, and Brandon Lindberg also scored for the Sting (10-11-2).

Tye Felhaber replied for Saginaw (10-12-2) while Jake Paterson stopped 27 shots.
