ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Nick Suzuki scored at 2:19 of overtime in his Storm debut as Guelph edged the Niagara IceDogs 6-5 on Thursday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Suzuki and defenceman Sean Durzi were both acquired only a day earlier from the Owen Sound Attack ahead of the OHL trade deadline. Durzi also made an immediate impact with three assists.
Nate Schnarr forced overtime for Guelph (21-12-7) when he scored at 19:53 of the third period and tacked on two helpers for a three-point night.
MacKenzie Entwistle, Dmitri Samorukov, Liam Hawel and Isaac Ratcliffe also scored for the Storm, who got 39 saves from Anthony Popovich.
Ben Jones struck twice while Kyen Sopa, Kirill Maksimov and Oliver Castleman also found the back of the net for the IceDogs (23-9-7).
Stephen Dhillon turned aside 27 shots for Niagara.
Guelph went 1 for 2 on the power play while the IceDogs went 2 for 6 with the man advantage.
BATTALION 4 STEELHEADS 3 (OT)
NORTH BAY, Ont. — Justin Brazeau's second goal of the game came 2:33 into the extra period as the Battalion slipped past Mississauga to improve to 9-0-1 in their last 10.
Christian Propp kicked out 36 shots for the win while Nick King and Theo Calvas also scored for North Bay (20-18-3). Battalion winger Daniel Walker was dealt a game misconduct for abuse of an official midway through the second.
Aidan Prueter, Cole Schwindt and Keean Washkurak had goals for the Steelheads (18-17-5). Joe Ranger made 23 saves in a losing cause.
GENERALS 6 PETES 5 (OT)
PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Allan McShane had two goals and two assists and Serron Noel scored the winner at 1:08 of overtime as Oshawa toppled the Petes.
Anthony Salinitri, Brandon Saigeon and William Ennis also scored for the Generals (24-15-2). Kyle Keyser made 22 saves for the victory.
Nick Robertson, Max Grondin, Ryan Merkley, Erik Cermak and Adam Timleck replied for Peterborough (22-16-2). Hunter Jones turned aside 30 shots in defeat.

WINDSOR, Ont. — Will Cuylle broke a 3-3 tie at 13:11 of the third as the Spitfires downed Flint for their fourth win in a row.
Luke Boka, Jean-Luc Foudy and Nathan Staios also scored while Kari Piiroinen made 30 saves for Windsor (19-19-3).
The Firebirds (7-33-2) got goals from Jacob Winterton, Ethan Keppen and Emmet Pierce. Emanuel Vella turned away 21 shots in defeat.
WOLVES 4 COLTS 3
BARRIE, Ont. — Shane Bulitka scored twice, including the eventual winner, as Sudbury beat the Colts to halt a seven-game losing streak.
Drake Pilon and Macauley Carson also scored for the Wolves (22-14-3). Mitchell Weeks made 24 saves for the victory.
Jack York struck twice and Dalton Duhart also scored for Barrie (18-21-1). Kai Edmonds kicked out 35 shots in a losing cause.
