The Pittsburgh Penguins have confirmed that forward Beau Bennett has been diagnosed with the mumps.

Bennett becomes the 15th player in the NHL to come down with the illness.

Teammate Sidney Crosby was diagnosed on Sunday.

Bennett has missed the team's last eight games with a lower-body injury.

In seven games this season, Bennett has a goal and two assists. The 23-year-old was the Penguins first round draft pick (20th overall) in 2010.
