Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Phillies reinstated outfielder Tony Gwynn Jr. from the bereavement list on Tuesday.

He was placed on the bereavement list June 16 following the death of his father, Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn.

The 31-year-old is batting just .155 with three RBI in 52 games this season for the Phillies.

To make room on the roster, Philadelphia placed catcher Wil Nieves on the 15- day disabled list with a right quad strain.
