According to TSN's Steve Phillips, there might be a possible snag in the Los Angeles Dodgers' deal to acquire Baltimore Orioles' Manny Machado that could open the door for other clubs to acquire the All-Star third baseman.

Sources tell Phillips that one or more of the Dodgers' prospects coming to the Orioles in the deal have some issues in their physicals, which could hold up the trade, that seemed like a done deal on Tuesday.

Phillips notes that the Machado situation will slow down Plan B pursuits for other teams until it is resolved.

Rumours have been swirling since Machado touched down in Washington, D.C. for the All-Star Game on Monday, with the Dodgers, Phillies and Brewers seeming to be the frontrunners in any possible trade before the Dodgers seemed to jump ahead with a package of prospects that would be hard for any of the other potential suitors to match.

Despite the Orioles having a terrible season, sitting in last place in the American League East, the 26-year-old has continued to put up solid numbers, batting .315/.387/.575 with 24 home runs and 65 RBI.
