HALIFAX — Benoit-Olivier Groulx scored on a power play in overtime and the Halifax Mooseheads recovered from blowing a three-goal lead to beat the Charlottetown Islanders 4-3 on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Jared McIsaac, Arnaud Durandeau and Antoine Morand scored first-period goals as Halifax (17-4-1) build up a 3-0 lead.

But the Islanders (14-7-2) replied with three consecutive goals from Derek Gentile, Colin Van Den Hurk and Daniel Hardie over the second and third periods to tie the game.

Mooseheads goaltender Alexis Gravel stopped 33 shots. Matthew Welsh made 18 saves for Charlottetown, which had a three-game win streak snapped.

WILDCATS 6 REMPARTS 3

QUEBEC CITY — Jeremy McKenna scored two goals and set up two more as Moncton doubled up the Remparts to extend its win streak to five games.

Jakob Pelletier scored twice for the Eastern Conference-best Wildcats (19-4-2), including a short-handed goal. Alexander Khovanov had a goal and two assists and Dylan Seitz also scored.

Benjamin Gagne, Aleksei Sergeev and Philipp Kurashev provided the offence for Quebec (10-11-3).

Moncton's Gabriel Sylvestre received a game misconduct for boarding in the third period.

VAL-D'OR, Que. — Yan Dion scored three goals, Ivan Kozlov had a goal and two helpers, and the Foreurs handed Shawinigan its eighth straight loss.

Emile Lauzon, Frederic Abraham and Nicolas Ouellet also scored for Val-d'Or (9-13-3), which has won three in a row.

Vincent Senez scored a hat trick for the Cataractes (5-16-1). Anthony Imbeault, Mavrick Bourque and Max-Antoine Melancon rounded out the offence.
