HALIFAX — Senna Peeters had three goals and an assist, Justin Barron scored once and set up four more, and Zachary L'Heureux added two goals and two helpers as the Halifax Mooseheads toppled the Cape Breton Eagles 11-4 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Jordan Dumais also had a pair of goals and an assist while Elliot Desnoyers tacked on five assists in Halifax's offensive outburst that included a five-goal third period to blow the game open.

Jake Furlong, Markus Vidicek and Kyle Petten rounded out the scoring for the Mooseheads (11-14-6), who got four assists from Cameron Whynot.

Dawson Stairs struck twice, Emile Hegarty-Aubin had a goal and two helpers and Cole Fraser also scored for the Eagles (11-16-1), who are on a four-game slide.

Brady James made 23 saves for Halifax, while William Grimard allowed 11 goals on 35 shots for Cape Breton.
