ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Peter Abbandonato set up four of his team's goals to take over the league lead in points as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies extended their win streak to 23 games by downing the Drummondville Voltigeurs 6-1 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The 20-year-old Abbandonato is up to 101 points in 61 games, two more than Alexis Lafreniere, who sits second with 99 points in 56 contests.
Alex Beaucage, Justin Bergeron, Joel Teasdale, Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Noah Dobson and Tyler Hinam scored for the No. 1 Huskies (53-7-1).
Rouyn-Noranda has yet to lose a game in all of 2019 and are just two wins shy of tying the 1973-74 Sorel Eperviers for the longest win streak in QMJHL history.
Jarrett Baker scored for the Voltigeurs (47-11-3), who were 12-0-2 in their last 14 before meeting the top team in the country.
Samuel Harvey kicked out 36 shots for Rouyn-Noranda as Olivier Rodrigue turned aside 42 shots for Drummondville.
The Huskies went 3 for 4 on the power play while the Voltigeurs were 0 for 2 with the man advantage.

BATHURST, N.B. — Cedric Pare scored twice and Tristan Berube made 22 saves as Rimouski dealt the Titan their 22nd loss in a row.
Alexis Lafreniere, Anthony Gagnon and Olivier Garneau also scored for the Oceanic (41-17-4), who are 4-0-1 in their last five. Winger Jeffrey Durocher was ejected for checking from behind at 8:25 of the second.
Mathieu Desgagnes found the back of the net for Acadie-Bathurst (7-49-5). Tyriq Outen turned away 36-of-41 shots in defeat.

MONCTON, N.B. — Simon Lafrance potted the winner at 3:41 of overtime to lift Victoriaville over the Wildcats.
Tristan Cote-Cazenave turned aside 32 shots while Mikhail Abramov also scored for the Tigres (26-30-5).
Moncton (33-20-8) got its goal from Adam Capannelli as Francis Leclerc made 23 saves in a losing cause.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Brooklyn Kalmikov struck twice and Adam McCormick had a goal and two helpers as Cape Breton picked up its third straight win while handing Saint John its ninth consecutive defeat.
Nathan Larose, Ryan Francis, Olivier Bourret and Shaun Miller also scored as William Grimard stopped 14 shots for the Screaming Eagles (36-20-5).
Josh Lawrence and Nicholas Deakin-Poot hit the scoresheet for the Sea Dogs (12-44-5). Tommy DaSilva turned away 47 shots in a losing cause.

QUEBEC CITY — Matthew Grouchy had two goals and two assists and Andrew Coxhead chipped in a pair of goals as the Remparts toppled Gatineau.
Gabriel Montreuil, Philipp Kurashev and Edouard St-Laurent also scored for Quebec City (25-24-12). Carmine-Anthony Pagliarulo made 13 saves for the win.
David Aebischer had the lone goal for the Olympiques (22-34-5), who are on a three-game slide. Remi Poirier kicked out 28 shots in a losing cause.

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Kevin Gursoy put his team ahead for good at 12:12 of the second as Charlottetown handed the Cataractes their eighth loss in a row.

Mavrik Bourque kept Shawinigan (14-43-4) from being blanked. Justin Blanchette turned aside 36 shots in a losing cause.

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Yaroslav Alexeyev had two goals and two helpers and Nathan Legare scored twice as the Drakkar beat Sherbrooke for their fourth straight win.
Ethan Crossman, Christopher Benoit, Jordan Martel, Mathieu Charlebois and Ivan Chekhovich also scored for Baie-Comeau (44-14-3). Alex D'Orio turned away 24 shots for the victory.
Benjamin Tardif's hat trick wasn't enough for Sherbrooke (14-43-4) to avoid its fourth consecutive defeat. Alex-Olivier Voyer also scored and Dakota Lund-Cornish made 21 saves in a losing cause.
