SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Stéphane Huard Jr. scored twice to lead the Western Conference-leading Sherbrooke Phoenix to a 4-3 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Xavier Parent had a goal and two assists for the Phoenix (40-15-4). Joshua Roy, with his 42nd of the year, and Julien Anctil added a goal and an assist.

Xavier Bourgault had a goal and an assist for Shawinigan (36-21-4), which sits third in the conference but has just three wins in its last 10 games. Charles Beaudoin, Pierrick Dubé and Maximilien Ledoux also scored.

Ivan Zhigalov made 27 saves for Sherbrooke. Alexandre Marchand kept Shawinigan in the game with a 40-save performance.

Sherbrooke was 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Cataractes did not score on their lone chance.

GATINEAU, Que. — Manix Landry had two goals and an assist as the Olympiques downed Moncton.

Evgenii Kashnikov, Antonin Verreault, Samuel Savoie, Haakon Frederik Hanelt and Simon Pinard, on a penalty shot, also scored for Gatineau (32-14-13).

Jonas Taibel, Brooklyn Kalmikov and Jaxon Bellamy had power-play goals for the Wildcats (25-27-7).

TITAN 4 MOOSEHEADS 3

HALIFAX — Jacob Melanson had two goals and an assist as Acadie-Bathurst edged the Mooseheads.

Marc-André Gaudet and Nolan Forster also scored for the Titan (37-16-6).

Jordan Dumais had two goals and Zack Jones also scored for Halifax (31-28-2). Mooseheads goalie Mathis Rousseau made 48 saves in a losing cause.
