James Jones' stay in Oakland is over after just one season with the team.

The Raiders cut the wide receiver just one season into a three-year contract on Tuesday.

The Raiders have revamped their receiving corps this off-season, signing free agent Michael Crabtree and drafting Amari Cooper fourth overall.

Jones had 73 receptions for 666 yards and six touchdowns last season after signing with the Raiders as a free agent.

The 31-year-old spent his first seven NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers. He was drafted in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft.

According to CSN, Jones' release will save the Raiders $3.433 million against the salary cap and leave no dead money.

The Raiders also selected Andre Debose in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, joining Rod Streater, Kenbrell Thompkins, Andre Holmes, Jeremy Gallon, Brice Butler and Seth Roberts on the depth chart at wide receiver.
