A day after confirming the signing of former All-Pro nose tackle Ndamukong Suh, Los Angeles Rams head coach weighed in on the rumours attaching his team to New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

While mindful of tampering rules, McVay admitted to ESPN that his team would be interested in any trade that would make them better.

"We can't talk about anybody that's under contract with any other team, but I think, if there's one thing you can appreciate about what we've done this offseason, there's no trade we wouldn't explore or look into if we feel like it can upgrade us as a team," McVeigh said.

After returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2004, a busy offseason for the Rams also saw the team shore up their secondary by acquiring cornerbacks Marcus Peters from the Kansas City Chiefs and Aqib Talib from the Denver Broncos.

A deal for Beckham would address the hole left by Sammy Watkins, who signed with the Chiefs as a free agent.

"Hypothetically, I think a player of [Beckham's] calibre can kind of really do everything, but like I said, we really don't get into discussing players that are with other teams, just out of respect for tampering and the things that come with that," McVay said."

Beckham is set to earn $8.5 million this season as the fifth-year option on his rookie deal. Comments in recent days from Giants owner John Mara and head coach Pat Schurmur have indicated that the 25-year-old LSU product could be made available.

Among the receivers under contract with the Rams currently are Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, Tavon Austin and Pharoh Cooper.
