New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The NHL fined New York Rangers forward Tanner Glass for hitting Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid in the face with the butt end of his stick at the end of Saturday afternoon's game.

The NHL announced a max fine of $3,897 for Glass just hours after the Bruins' 4-2 win at TD Garden in Boston.

Glass was clutching the handle of his stick with his right hand when he drove the butt end into McQuaid's face during a scrum in the corner after time expired in the game.

He was given a 10-minute major and a game misconduct.
