Toronto Raptors centre Lucas Nogueira has a muscle tear in his right calf, the team announced on Friday. 

Nogueira's injury was treated with platelet-rich plasma injection (PRP) to enhance the healing process, per the Raptors. He missed Friday night's game against the Indiana Pacers. 

The injury sustained in Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

Nogueira, a 25-year-old native of Brazil, is in his fourth season with the Raptors after being selected 16th overall by the Celtics in the 2013 draft. His draft rights were traded between the Mavericks and Hawks on draft night. Toronto acquired the centre ahead of his rookie season in 2014.

Nogueira holds career averages of 3.6 points per game and 3.2 rebounds.
