Colby Rasmus is Texas-bound.

The former Blue Jays centre fielder has agreed to a one-year deal with the Houston Astros.

Rasmus, 28, hit .225 in 2014 with 18 home runs and 40 runs batted-in.

He spent parts of four seasons with the Blue Jays, who acquired him at the 2011 trade deadline in a deal that took two separate transactions and a total of 11 players to complete.

Originally selected 28th overall by the St. Louis Cardinals at the 2005 MLB Draft, Rasmus has appeared in 793 career MLB games, hitting 116 home runs and 352 RBI with a .246/.313/.438 slash line.
