ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera has been ejected for arguing a called third strike. Some of his equipment has gotten tossed, too.

Cabrera was thrown out by plate umpire Kerwin Danley in the fifth inning of Monday night's game against Toronto. As Cabrera headed toward the dugout, he threw his helmet and bat toward the mound.

While a discussion between Danley and Rays manager Kevin Cash was winding down, crew chief Joe West walked in from his position at third base and picked up the helmet and bat. West gave them to a security official located in the walkway to the umpire's room.

West and the umpires also decided to continue play in the fourth when a section of stadium lights went out. Those lights were back in the next inning.
