It appears Patrick Maroon is on the St. Louis Blues list of targets in free agency ahead of the market opening Sunday.

According to Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic, the Blues have reached out to Maroon, who is from the area.

Maroon, 30, was traded last season from the Edmonton Oilers to the New Jersey Devils at the trade deadline. He scored 17 goals and tallied 43 points in 74 games between the two teams. He added one goal in five playoff games with the Devils.

Maroon, who scored 27 goals with the Oilers in 2016-17, is listed at No. 14 on the TSN Top UFAs list.

He underwent surgery in May to repair a herniated disk in his back, but is expected to be ready for training camp.
