The Chicago Cubs and right-handed reliever Brad Brach have agreed to a deal, according to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

The deal is for at least $4.35 million for one year but both Brach and the Cubs have an option for 2020. The deal could grow to two years at $9.5 million if the Cubs exercise their option but would be less if the Cubs decline and Brach exercises his option.

In 69 games last season split between the Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves, Brach had an earned run average of 3.59 with 60 strikeouts in 62.2 innings.

Prior to being shipped to Atlanta just before the trade deadline, Brach spent the past four seasons with the Orioles.
