We might finally have an answer for the Los Angeles Rams' limited usage of Todd Gurley during the playoffs.

The Athletic's Jeff Howe reports that the 24-year-old running back has been dealing with arthritis in his knee.

Gurley had surgery on his ACL in that same knee in 2014.

The Georgia missed the final two regular season games, returned for the divisional-round playoff game against the Dallas Cowboy where he was solid, but had poor showings in both of the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl LIII defeat to the New England Patriots.

Gurley finished his season with 1,251 yards rushing on 256 carries and a league-leading 17 rushing touchdowns. He also 580 yards receiving on 59 receptions and four TDs.

He is entering the first year of his four-year, $60 million extension signed last summer that comes with $45 million guaranteed.
