NEW YORK, N.Y. - People with knowledge of the decisions tell The Associated Press that the New York Jets have re-signed tight end Kellen Davis, and that wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins has signed his restricted free agent tender.

Davis signed a one-year deal Monday, according to the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team hadn't announced the move.

Pro Football Talk first reported Davis' deal.

The 30-year-old Davis had three catches for 18 yards and a touchdown while starting nine games and working primarily as a blocking tight end in the Jets' offence. He has 53 catches for 579 yards and 13 TDs in eight NFL seasons with New York, Detroit, the Giants, Seattle, Cleveland and Chicago.

Thompkins' tender was for one-year and $1.671 million. He had 17 catches for 165 yards in seven games with the Jets last season.
