According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, Kawhi Leonard will not attend USA Basketball mini-camp in Las Vegas next week so he can focus on his transition to his new team, the Toronto Raptors.

Leonard, who has yet to be introduced at a news conference in Toronto, was traded for DeMar DeRozan last Wednesday. He appeared in a photo with Raptors president Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster during the weekend.

Leonard last played in a game on Jan. 13, and was limited to nine games with the San Antonio Spurs last season.

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is the head coach of Team USA. He will assemble the squad that is expected to compete in the 2019 World Cup in China and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
