Tight end Fred Davis has been reinstated by the NFL, according to a report from Pro Football Talk.

The former Washington Redskins player was suspended indefinitely by the league in February 2014 for his second violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

The 29-year-old said at the time his second violation was for a supplement that included a banned substance. Davis’ first violation was for marijuana.

The former second rounder played six years for the Redskins before his suspension. He has 162 career receptions for 2,043 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Davis is now free to sign with any team.
