It looks like the 2016 season will be the last for David Ortiz

Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports the Boston Red Sox great will retire at season's end.

Next season will be Ortiz's 20th season in the MLB.

The 39-year-old has a .284 average with 503 home runs and 1641 RBIs in 2257 career games, including 13 seasons with the Red Sox. 

Ortiz is a three-time World Series champion (2004, 2007, 2013) and won the World Series MVP in 2013. He is also a nine-time All-Star.

The Red Sox close out the 2016 season at Fenway Park against the Toronto Blue Jays.
