According to Ken Rosenthal, the Pittsburgh Pirates are expected to sign outfielder Melky Cabrera to a minor-league contract. 

In 2018, Cabrera played 78 games with the Cleveland Indians, registering six home runs and 39 RBIs with a .280 batting average. 

According to Jon Heyman, Cabrera could hit $2 million with incentives. 

Over 14 years in the majors, the 34-year-old has spent time with the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Kansa City Royals, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago White Sox and Cleveland.
