Fred Jackson is once again teammates with Marshawn Lynch.

Jackson, 34, was released on Monday by Buffalo after nine seasons with the Bills.

Undrafted out of Iowa's Coe College, the same school that produced legendary Bills coach Marv Levy, Jackson spent his entire NFL career in Buffalo.

In 2009,  Jackson rushed for 1,062 yards and two touchdowns and also had 1,014 yards and another two touchdowns on special teams, becoming the first player in NFL history to post 1,000-plus yards rushing and 1,000-plus kickoff return yards in the same season.

Offensively, Jackson's best season came in 2013 when he had 10 touchdowns and 1,283 yards from scrimmage.

In 2014, Jackson appeared in 14 games and accumulated 525 rushing yards and another 501 receiving. He scored two touchdowns on the ground and had another receiving.

Jackson and Lynch are close friends from when Lynch spent the first three-plus seasons of his career in Buffalo.

Robert Turbin, Christine Michael and Thomas Rawls are also in the the Seattle backfield.
