Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano could emerge in a role with the New England Patriots this off-season, according to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport reported it appears likely Schiano could join the Patriots in a top defensive roll, sliding in with defensive coordinator Brian Flores set to take the Miami Dolphins' head coaching job.
Schiano coached the Bucs for two seasons from 2012-13, finishing with an overall record of 11-21.
The long-time college coach has spent the past three seasons with The Ohio State Buckeyes, serving as the team's defensive coordinator and associate head coach.
Prior to his time in the NFL with the Bucs, Schiano served as head coach at Rutgers, finishing with a 68-67 record over 11 seasons.
