According to multiple reports, the Columbus Blue Jackets scratched goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky for last Thursday's game against the Nashville Predators as a result of his conduct upon being pulled two nights earlier.

Both The Athletic and Columbus Dispatch report that the "incident" which led to Bobrosvky not dressing against Nashville was the goaltender not returning to the bench after being pulled in the third period of the team's loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning last Tuesday night.

Aaron Portzline of The Athletic adds that when head coach John Tortorella sent a member of the team to bring Bobrovsky back to the bench, he was in the shower or had already showered and was not available to return to the bench. Joonas Korpisalo stopped all three shots he faced in relief of Bobrovsky against the Lightning, but Bobrovsky's decision to change reportedly did not sit well with team veterans.

Bobrovsky returned to Blue Jackets practice on Friday after a meeting with general manager Jarmo Kekalainen, who said the matter was "resolved" and both sides were "moving on."

The 30-year-old netminder returned to the crease on Sunday and stopped 22 of 27 shots faced in the team's 7-5 win over the New York Rangers. He will serve as the backup to Korpisalo for the second time in three games on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils.

Bobrovsky's future in Columbus remains murky as the goaltender plays out the final season of his current contract.

"I am here, and I will play here," Bobrovsky said Friday when asked if he planned to finish the year in Columbus. "I will do my best as I have done for this team, for this organization, for these fans, for this city. I've been working hard and I will continue to do that."

The Blue Jackets have won three straight games since announcing Bobrovsky would be scratched for one game last Thursday and now sit second in the Metropolitan Division with 57 points.
