Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Zach Collaros, who has been on the six-game injured list since June 26 with a concussion, was not present at practice on Tuesday.

In regards to this quarterback's absence, head coach Chris Jones told the media that "[Collaros] is feeling a little bit better and he’s still on the 6 game so he’s just throwing with our trainer and strength coach, we’ll see if he can come back out after the break,” per CTV Regina sports reporter Claire Hanna.

When the Roughriders take on the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday, it will mark the fourth straight game that Collaros has missed. Jones said on Tuesday that he’s hopeful that his QB will be able to return following the team’s bye in a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, Duron Carter could be returning to offence this week, as he was wearing a white jersey and taking reps with the receivers on Tuesday.

Jones has played Carter at defensive back since Week 2, in place of rookie Nick Marshall who is on the six-game injured list.

“He’s going to stay there until we get Nick Marshall back," Jones said at the time. "We’ll just see how long it takes to get Nick back. Unfortunately, Nick’s got a broken hand and he’s on the six-game.”

The Riders also had newly signed defensive back Will Blackmon at practice. He played 96 NFL games, mainly with Green Bay, Jacksonville, Washington and the New York Giants.
