After an off-season of questioning whether or not he really wanted to stay in San Diego, Philip Rivers answered by agreeing to terms on a long-term deal with the Chargers.

Rivers agreed to terms to stay with the team through 2019, the Chargers announced Thursday.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the deal is worth between $84-85 million, with $65 million guaranteed.

There were reports all off-season suggesting Rivers didn't want to stay in San Diego longterm, but the 33-year-old is now tied to the team for the next five seasons.

Rivers finished last year with 4,286 passing yards, 31 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions. For his career, the former first round draft pick has 36,655 passing yards, 252 touchdowns, and 122 interceptions.
