LAVAL, Que. — The Laval Rocket snapped a five-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the Hershey Bears in American Hockey League action on Saturday.

Laval (29-32-6-6) extended its lead to 4-0 with three goals in the first 6:01 of the third period.

Hayden Verbeek, with two goals, Thomas Ebbing, Alex Belzile and Xavier Ouellet scored for the Rocket in their final home game of the season.

Steve Whitney and Maximilian Kammerer replied for the Bears (40-24-3-4), who saw their four-game win streak come to an end.

Laval faces the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Wednesday night.
