UTICA, N.Y. — Veteran Michael Leighton made 20 saves as the Utica Comets downed the Laval Rocket 4-1 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.
Jonah Gadjovich, Tanner Kero, Lukas Jasek and Evan McEneny supplied the offence for the Comets (27-19-6), who are 4-0-1 in their last five contests.
Michael Pezzetta was the lone scorer for the Rocket (19-23-8), who are on a seven-game slide.
Charlie Lindgren stopped 24-of-28 shots in a losing cause.
Utica went 2 for 7 on the power play while Laval scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
