DENVER - Outfielder Drew Stubbs and right-handers Jordan Lyles and Tyler Chatwood avoided arbitration by agreeing to contracts with the Colorado Rockies.

Stubbs gets $5,825,000 under Wednesday's one-year agreement and Lyles receives $2,475,000 under his one-year deal. Both are not guaranteed.

Chatwood, recovering from Tommy John surgery, gets a guaranteed $2 million, two-year deal that pays $1 million annually. He can make $250,000 more in 2016 in bonuses based on starts.

Stubbs made $4.1 million last year, his first season in Colorado. He hit a career-best .289 with 15 homers and 43 RBIs in 132 games for the Rockies.

In six seasons with the Cleveland, Cincinnati and Rockies, Stubbs has a .246 batting average with 84 home runs.

Lyles was 7-4 with a 4.33 ERA in 22 starts last year and made $502,000. He was sidelined for two months after breaking his left hand June 4 when he tried to tag out Arizona's Martin Prado at home after a first-inning wild pitch.

Chatwood was 8-5 with a 3.15 ERA in 2013 and 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in four starts last year before he got hurt, and the Rockies said in July that he needed reconstructive elbow surgery.

His 2016 bonuses call for $25,000 each for 14 and 17 starts, $50,000 apiece for 20 and 23, and $100,000 for 26.

Colorado's other players who filed for arbitration Tuesday are right-handers Jhoulys Chacin and Adam Ottavino; left-hander Rex Brothers; and catchers Mike McKenry and Wilin Rosario. Players who don't settle by Friday will swap proposed arbitration salaries with the Rockies.
