The Buffalo Sabres acquired forward Scott Wilson form the Detroit Red Wings on Monday for a 2019 fifth-round draft pick. 

Wilson was without a point in 17 games with the Red Winsg this season as a minus-1. He appeared in three games with the Pittsburgh Penguins earlier this season, also being held without a point. 

He was acquired by Detroit along a with a 2018 third-round pick for Riley Sheahan

The 25-year-old was selected by the Penguins in the seventh round of the 2011 NHL Draft. He owns 13 goals and 32 points in 123 career games.

Wilson won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins last season, scoring three goals and adding three assists in 20 postseason contests.
