The Ottawa Senators re-signed defenceman Patrick Mullen to a one-year, two-way deal on Tuesday.

The deal is worth $600,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 if he plays in the AHL.

Mullen, the son of Hockey Hall of Famer Joe Mullen, had five goals and 24 assists in 54 games with AHL Binghamton last season.

The 29-year-old has also played in the AHL with the Los Angeles Kings and Vancouver Canucks organizations but has yet to appear in an NHL game.
