OTTAWA - With their two top goaltenders out, the Ottawa Senators have recalled Chris Driedger from the East Coast Hockey League.

Robin Lehner was injured in a collision with teammate Clarke MacArthur in Monday's loss to the Carolina Hurricanes while Craig Anderson has been out with a hand problem since mid-January.

Andrew Hammond, who replaced Lehner against Carolina, could make his first NHL start Wednesday against the Montreal Canadiens.

Hammond said he hadn't received official word he would be starting so he hasn't told family and friends to get to Ottawa just yet.

Driedger is expected to serve as the backup, as coach Dave Cameron offered no update on Lehner's condition after Tuesday's practice.

A Winnipeg native and third-round pick in 2012, the 20-year-old Driedger has just three games of experience in the American Hockey League and none in the NHL.
