A pair of former Australian Open champs square off in third-round singles action. Tennis heavyweights Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal highlight men's action.

Maria Sharapova vs. Caroline Wozniacki - LIVE ON TSN5 at (approx.) 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT

Wozniacki hopes to continue her title defence at the Australian Open against five-time Grand Slam singles winner Sharapova. Neither player has dropped a set through their first two matches, while Sharapova has only lost a total of three games.  It is the 11th career meeting between both players with Sharapova holding a 6-4 edge.

Roger Federer vs Taylor Fritz - LIVE ON TSN5 at (approx.) 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT

Federer has made short of his first two opponents by defeating both Denis Istomin and Daniel Evans in straight sets. His third-round match against American newcomer Fritz could provide a tougher challenge. Fritz upset 30-seed Gael Monfils in the second round. Federer and Fritz met once before with multiple Grand Slam champ winning in three sets at an ATP tour event to defeat the upstart Fritz. 

Rafael Nadal vs Alex de Minaur - LIVE ON TSN2 at 3 a.m. ET/Midnight PT

The second-seeded Nadal cruised through the opening two rounds without dropping a set. He takes on 19-year-old de Minaur who represents Australia but was born in Spain and grew up idolizing Nadal. The two met at Wimbledon last year with Nadal defeating the teen in straight sets. But a lot has changed in a short amount of time. De Minaur won his first ATP title in Sydney this year, a tune-up for the Aussie Open.

Angelique Kerber vs Kimberly Birrell - LIVE ON TSN2 at 5 a.m. ET/2 a.m. PT

Kerber looks to end Australian Birrell's Cinderella run at the open. The 2016 Aussie Open champ cruised through her first two matches in the tournament and takes on Birrell, who is ranked 249th in the world, but sure to jump up after a win against No. 29 seed Donna Vekic in the second round.

Sloane Stephens vs. Petra Martic - LIVE ON TSN5 at (approx.) 10:15 p.m. ET/7:15 a.m. PT

No. 5 Stephens has cruised through her first two matches without dropping a set but faces steep competition from Martic who reached a career-best fourth-round appearance at the Aussie Open last year. The two had met just once before in WTA action with Stephens coming out on top.

Marin Cilic vs Fernando Verdasco LIVE ON TSN2 at (approx.) 4:15 a.m. ET/1:15 p.m. PT

No. 6  Cilic survived a four-set match against American Mackenzie McDonald and will now square off against rival Verdasco for the 18th time in his career. Cilic has won 10 of those matches.

Petra Kvitova vs Belinda Bencic LIVE ON TSN 2 at (approx.) 1:00 a.m. ET/10:00 p.m. PT

No. 8 Kvitova dominated through her first two matches and takes on a Bencic who has needed three-sets for first and second-round victories. Kvitova has won both prior meetings between the two competitors.
