The San Jose Sharks have signed Mikkel Boedker to a four-year, $16 million contract.

The 26-year-old winger scored 17 goals and tallied 34 assists in 80 games with the Arizona Coyotes and Colorado Avalanche this past season. Arizona, the team that drafted him eighth overall in 2008, sent him to the Avs for Alex Tanguay and prospects at the Trade Deadline.

Boedker was playing on a one-year, $3.75 million contract during the 2015-16 season.

Boedker has scored 84 goals and 225 points across 463 career games with the Coyotes and Avalanche.
