The Calgary Stampeders aren't known to dip into free agency too much, especially early, but they did make a move Tuesday in re-signing international linebacker Deron Mayo.

Mayo played just one game for the Stamps last year because of a knee injury, but played five nearly-full seasons for the Stampeders prior to that.

In 87 career games with the Stampeders, the 29-year-old has 277 tackles and 14 sacks.
