CALGARY - The Calgary Stampeders have signed international defensive back Joshua Bell to a contract extension.

"Josh stepped into the safety spot for us last year and did an excellent job," Hufnagel said in a team release. "He was a very good addition to our defence and I'm pleased that he has chosen to sign an extension with the team."

In 36 career CFL games with Calgary and the B.C. Lions, Bell has 102 tackles, 10 special-teams tackles, three interceptions and one forced fumble.
