Stars F Nichushkin has hip surgery, out three to four months
Dallas Stars right wing Valeri Nichushkin had hip surgery on Tuesday in New York and will be out three to four months. The 19-year-old Nichushkin, Dallas' first-round pick in the 2013 NHL draft (10th overall) has played in only four of the Stars' first 19 games because of hip and groin injuries.

DALLAS - Dallas Stars right wing Valeri Nichushkin had hip surgery on Tuesday in New York and will be out three to four months.
The 19-year-old Nichushkin, Dallas' first-round pick in the 2013 NHL draft (10th overall) has played in only four of the Stars' first 19 games because of hip and groin injuries.
The Russian-born Nichushkin had no goals or assists and two penalty minutes. He had an assist in two games of a conditioning assignment with Texas of the AHL.
Nichushkin had 14 goals and 20 assists in 79 games for Dallas as a rookie last season.
