The Dallas Stars dipped into the European free agent market on Monday, signing Swedish defenceman Emil Djuse to a one-year entry-level contract.

Djuse, 25, scored six goals and posted 22 points in 49 games with Skelleftea AIK of the Swedish Hockey League this season. He's spent the past five seasons in the league, spending time with Frolunda, Modo and Skelleftea. He set career-highs in both goals and points this season.

Undrafted in the NHL, Djuse played for Sweden at the 2013 world juniors, winning a silver medal.
