Jakob Silfverberg – Went off for a hat trick and an assist in Anaheim’s 7-1 rout over New Jersey. The Ducks winger has struggled to score this season, managing six points (3 G, 3 A) in his previous 20 games.
Silfverberg’s linemates had big games too. LW Andrew Cogliano had a goal and two assists after he had a goal and two assists in his previous 15 games, while C Ryan Kesler had a goal and two assists, giving him 22 points (7 G, 15 A) in the past 24 games.
James Neal – Scored all three goals for Nashville in a 3-2 win at Edmonton, and has seven points (5 G, 2 A) in the past seven games.
Michael Frolik – The Flames winger had a hat trick, with nine shot attempts (7 SOG), in a 7-4 win against St. Louis, busting out after managing five points (2 G, 3 A) in the previous 16 games.
Marko Dano – The newly-acquired Jets winger put up two goals and an assist in a 5-2 win at Vancouver. He has five points (3 G, 2 A) in the past four games.
Jonathan Quick – Posted a 32-save shutout in a 5-0 win at Chicago, running his save percentage to .933 over the past 13 games. Quick’s .921 save percentage is the second best of his career.
Andrew Ladd – The recently-acquired Blackhawks winger was on for three even-strength goals against in a 5-0 loss to Los Angeles.
Jaden Schwartz – St. Louis’ winger was on the ice for three even-strength goals against, and had team-worst possession (6 for, 11 against, 35.3 SAT%) in a 7-4 loss at Calgary.
Jake Allen – Was pulled after allowing four goals on 17 shots while playing 31:03 in a 7-4 loss at Calgary.
Corey Crawford – Surrendered five goals on 25 shots in Chicago’s 5-0 loss to Los Angeles. That’s nine goals on 45 shots in the past two starts.
Keith Kinkaid – It’s been a roller-coaster ride for the Devils goaltender, who allowed six goals on 24 shots in a 7-1 loss at Anaheim. It’s the second time in four starts that he’s allowed six goals, and he’s posted a couple of shutouts in his past eight starts too.
Sam Bennett – The Flames forward has missed a couple of games with an upper-body injury, opening the door for Kenny Agostino to play his first two games of the season. Agostino, 23, had 42 points (17 G, 25 A) in 50 AHL games.
Kevin Bieksa – The veteran Ducks defenceman sat out of Monday’s win over New Jersey with a lower-body injury. With Sami Vatanen also out, that left Korbinian Holzer and Clayton Stoner to back-fill on the Anaheim blueline.
Yann Danis – The 34-year-old veteran pro made his first NHL appearance since 2012-2013, coming in to relieve Keith Kinkaid in the Devils’ net at Anaheim. Danis has a .907 save percentage in 40 AHL games this season.
Shawn Horcoff – Anaheim’s veteran centre returned to action against New Jersey after serving his 20-game PED suspension.
Panthers C Aleksander Barkov had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss at the Islanders. He has 17 points (10 G, 7 A) in his past 17 games…Panthers LW Jonathan Huberdeau picked up a pair of assists, giving him seven points (2 G, 5 A) in the past four games…Kings RW Kris Versteeg put up a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Chicago; he had zero points in his previous 10 games…Blues C Paul Stastny scored a couple of goals in a 7-4 loss at Calgary, giving him seven points (3 G, 4 A) in the past four games…Flames LW John Gaudreau had three assists against St. Louis, and has 20 points (5 G, 15 A) in the past 17 games…Flames D Mark Giordano added a goal and an assist, and has seven points (2 G, 5 A) in the past six games…Flames D Dougie Hamilton contributed three helpers, giving him seven points (1 G, 6 A) in the past six games…Flames C Sean Monahan tallied a pair of goals and added an assist; he has 12 points (6 G, 6 A) in the past 11 games…Islanders LW Anders Lee had a strong possession game (15 for, 3 against, 83.3 SAT%) in a 3-2 win over Florida…Jets LW Mathieu Perreault put up stellar possession stats (21 for, 4 against, 84.0 SAT%) at Vancouver.
