Claude Giroux – The Flyers left winger set up three goals in a 4-3 win over Detroit, and has 11 points (2 G, 9 A) in the past seven games. More impressively, it gives Giroux, who moved from centre to left wing this year, 26 even-strength points in 34 games this season, matching his total in 82 games last season.
Seth Jones – The Columbus defenceman produced a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win against Toronto, and has seven points (3 G, 4 A), with 29 shots on goal, in the past nine games.
Mitch Marner – Although the Maple Leafs lost 4-2 in Columbus, Marner was a threat for much of the game. He scored a goal, generated 11 shot attempts (a season-high 7 SOG) and had dominant possession stats (29 for, 7 against, 80.6 CF%, 17-3 scoring chances) against the Blue Jackets.
Radko Gudas and Travis Sanheim – The Flyers’ defence tandem controlled play (23 for, 6 against, 79.3 CF%, 12-4 scoring chances) in a 4-3 win against Detroit.
Travis Hamonic – Before suffering a groin injury against St. Louis, the Flames blueliner was having a horrific game (0 for, 15 against, 0-6 scoring chances) in just 4:55 of ice time at 5-on-5.
Nick Foligno – The Blue Jackets captain was on the wrong side of the puck (6 for, 19 against, 24.0 CF%, 1-12 scoring chances) in a 4-2 win against Toronto.
Martin Frk – Detroit’s rookie winger was buried (1 for, 10 against, 9.1 CF%, 0-5 scoring chances) and on the ice for a goal against in a 4-3 loss at Philadelphia.
Zach Werenski – Columbus’ star defenceman missed the 4-2 win over Toronto due to injury. What injury, you might ask? Good question.
Jaromir Jagr – A lower-body injury once again kept the Flames winger out of the lineup for their 2-1 win against St. Louis.
Maple Leafs D Jake Gardiner had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 loss at Columbus; he had two assists in his previous eight games…Blue Jackets RW Cam Atkinson picked up a pair of assists in a 4-2 win over Toronto, giving him four assists in the past four games…Flyers RW Wayne Simmonds produced a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win against Detroit, and has seven points (4 G, 3 A) in the past eight games…Red Wings D Mike Green contributed a goal and an assist in a 4-3 loss at Philadelphia; he had two goals, and no assists, in his previous 14 games…Red Wings C Dylan Larkin chipped in a couple of assists, and has six points (1 G, 5 A) in the past four games…Blue Jackets G Joonas Korpisalo stopped 39 of 41 shots in a 4-2 win vs. Toronto, giving him a .923 save percentage in his past seven games.
Robert Hagg – The Flyers blueliner recorded his first career goal, in his 35th career game, a 4-3 win against Detroit.
