Slim pickings is an overstatement for the fantasy football waiver wire this late into the season, but there were two key free agents that could have pushed your team through the first round of the playoffs, and are still available in a small majority of league's this week.

Jonathan Stewart was a big part of the Carolina Panthers rout over the New Orleans Saints, rushing for 155 yards and a touchdown, and finishing sixth amongst all running backs in Week 14. Stewart has looked strong all year for the Panthers but only now got a full workload with DeAngelo Williams sitting out due to a broken finger. Check the injury reports on Williams before starting Stewart however, because if both backs are healthy Carolina will likely return to the ineffective time share.

Andre Williams was in a similar situation in New York, filling in for a less than 100% Rashad Jennings for the Giants. Williams has put up some big weeks filling in for Jennings but Week 14 was his biggest, rushing for 131 yards and a touchdown, and finishing eighth among running backs with a 20-point day. If Jennings is still hobbled next week, Williams has proven he can fill in and put up a big day.
