Marcus Stroman will attempt to get his season back on track this weekend as the Toronto Blue Jays pitcher will make his return to the MLB on Saturday in a start against the Los Angeles Angels.

Manager John Gibbons made the announcement on Wednesday before the team's afternoon clash against the Atlanta Braves.

The 27-year-old was placed on the 10-day disabled list on May 11 due to shoulder fatigue.

Stroman was scheduled to make what was expected to be his final rehab start Monday night with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, but the game was postponed by rain.

Stroman has struggled this season with the Jays, posting a 0-5 record with a 7.71 earned run average over seven starts.

Gibbons said injured third baseman Josh Donaldson returned home for a funeral on Wednesday and will head to Dunedin afterwards to continue rehabbing his left calf tightness. There is still no timetable for his return. The 32-year-old last played on May 28.
