Stroman to start in Blue Jays' opener
Fans won't have to wait long to see Marcus Stroman pitch this year. After missing most of last season recovering from a torn ACL, the Blue Jays' enthusiastic ace will start opening day.

DUNEDIN, Fla. -- Marcus Stroman will be the Toronto Blue Jays' starter April 3 in the American League opener at Tampa Bay.
Blue Jays manager John Gibbons made the expected announcement Wednesday.
Stroman said on his Twitter account "Honored and hungry."
Gibbons also didn't rule out Stroman from starting the home opener on April 8 against Boston.
"Possibility we can do that, too," Gibbons said. "We've talked about it."
Stroman went 4-0 with a 1.67 ERA in a miraculous return from the knee injury that was supposed to keep him out for the entire year. He pitched three times in the playoffs as well, going 1-0 with a 4.19 ERA.
The 24-year-old Duke alum is 15-6 with a 3.31 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in two major league seasons.
